Show Jumping Ireland Announce Junior And Young Rider Training Day
Dublin, Ireland

Show Jumping Ireland and Horse Sport Ireland will be jointly running an information day on Tuesday October 27th in Coilog Equestrian Centre, Co. Kildare for Junior and Young Riders with aspirations to making future European Teams and a career in Show Jumping.

The Demonstration will be open to those between the ages of 12 and 21 and will focus on the Junior and Young Rider European Championships which will be taking place in France next July. A further information day for Pony riders will be announced shortly.

Booking forms will be available on the Horse Sport Ireland and Show Jumping Ireland websites and these must be returned to the Show Jumping Ireland Office before October 20th.

A similar demonstration was run by the Show Jumping Ireland Young Rider Committee last December and was very well received from those who attended the occasion. Horse Sport Ireland has this year come on board with SJI in a bid to further enhance the demonstration and the benefit for the future stars of Irish Show Jumping.

On the day there will be Riding Demonstrations from Edward Doyle along with Question and Answer sessions with Cian O'Connor and former World Champion Dermott Lennon and talks from Chef D'Equipe Commandant John Ledingham and Irish Course Builder Tom Holden along with other guest speakers.

Taylor Vard, who is both a Horse Sport Ireland and Show Jumping Ireland representative, is again at the forefront of the organisation of this year's event; "Last year's demonstration was a massive success and everybody benefited from the day. These riders are the future of our sport and it is Information days such as this that will build on our success in the future," he said.
